Are you a mature driver (aged 60+)? Live in Northamptonshire? Rely on being able to drive? This FREE event is for you!
Driving is an important part of our everyday life and we (Northamptonshire Safer Roads Alliance (NSRA)) are keen to help to keep mature drivers driving safer for longer.
Our driving ability to drive changes over time for different reasons, especially as we get older. It’s important that we recognise whether and how our driving is changing so we can stay safe and protect both ourselves and those around us.
This Mature Drivers event is aimed at drivers 60+, and will cover all different aspects of driving.
There will be FREE hints and tips drives available to book, delivered Northampton Advanced Motorists.

To undertake this work safely will require that the road will be closed overnight and off peak times, and it is expected that the works will commence on the 12th June 2026 with surfacing dressing taking place from the 12th to 14th June, associated works then taking place on the 19th to 21st June and 8th to 10th July 2026.

Casual Vacancy For Two Councillors
/in News/by guilsborough_adminGuilsborough Parish Council currently has two vacancies for a Parish Councillor.
Anyone interested in applying is invited to nominate themselves by providing their full contact details and a brief explanation as to why they would like to become a Councillor by email to the Parish Clerk. To qualify to be able to stand as a candidate at a parish council election you must
• be at least 18 years old
• be a British citizen, an eligible Commonwealth citizen or a citizen of any member state of the European Union, and
• meet at least one of the following four qualifications:
a. You are, and will continue to be, registered as a local government elector for the parish in which you wish to stand from the day of your nomination onwards.
b. You have occupied as owner or tenant any land or other premises in the parish area during the whole of the 12 months before the day of your nomination and the day of election.
c. Your main or only place of work during the 12 months prior to the day of your nomination and the day of election has been in the parish area.
d. You have lived in the parish area or within three miles of it during the whole of the 12 months before the day of your nomination and the day of election.

Suicide Prevention – Support for Males

This World Suicide Prevention Day 2025, West Northamptonshire Council and North Northamptonshire Council are sharing stories of males who have lived experience of suicide. We hope this video helps to #starttheconversation around suicide prevention and awareness.
